2010 Programme Image – Terry Dunne

Terry Dunne, tapestry artist and weaver is based at Woodgraigue, Duncormick, Co. Wexford. His work is included in notable private and public collections. Terry won first prize in the RDS Crafts Competition 2008 for weaving (tapestry). In 2009 he was awarded a bursary by the Crafts Council of Ireland which he will use to explore new weaving techniques in Finland. He was recently selected for inclusion in Portfolio, the Crafts Council’s catalogue of leading designer makers.

This work was generously donated to Music for Wexford by the artist.

2009 Programme Picture – Finca, Hillside Spain by Mike Fitzharris

Mike Fitzharris was born in Limerick in 1952. He studied at the Limerick School of Art and at the Hochschule für Bilden Kunst, Berlin, Germany between 1973 & 1976. On his return to Ireland he taught art in both Kerry and Dublin but now paints full time.

He has exhibited in many major group shows including the Oireachtas and the RHA annual exhibitions, winning the Taylor de Vere award at the latter in 1990. He has held many solo shows in Ireland, in Dublin at Hillsboro Fine Art, the Ashford Gallery, Dublin Port Centre and the Ib Jorgensen Gallery. He has also had solo shows at the Belltable Arts Centre, Limerick, the Wexford Arts Centre, the Vangard Gallery, Cork and the Gallerie Alexandre, Paris. Fitzharris’ work is represented in many collections including those of the Central Bank, Dublin; Office of Public Works; Guinness Mahon Bankers; Isis Equity Partners, London, and the Department of Civil Service Art Collection, Northern Ireland. Mike now lives and works in Dublin and in Marbella, Spain.

2008 Programme Picture – "White Nettle" by Tonia Kehoe

Wexford born artist, Tonia Kehoe, studied at the Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork. When she graduated in 2004 she was presented with ‘The Cork Art Society Student of the year Award.’ This enabled her to produce her first solo show as a professional artist. Her work has also been selected for many prestigious shows (including Iontas & the RHA). Tonia is currently undertaking a residency at the Backwater Artist Group in Cork. As well as painting full time, she hopes to return to education in 2008 to complete her M.A. in Fine Art.
