Music for Wexford will launch its summer lunchtime series on Wednesday 7th July with a recital by the young Irish pianist Conor Palliser. Conor studied at the Cork School of Music and has won many prizes for both piano and French horn. For this, his first visit to Wexford, he will play piano works by Liszt.

On Wednesday 14th July the Irish baritone Jamie Rock will return to Wexford with Peter Wilkinson piano. His programme will include songs by Beethoven, Debussy, Butterworth and Tosti.

A recital by the Finnish soprano Elisa Pirskanen and Susanna Laine, piano was scheduled for 21st July. Unforeseen circumstances forced them to cancel their trip to Ireland. Instead this concert will feature the Irish pianist, David Quigley in a recital of works by Mozart, John Field, Schumann and Philip Martin.

The final concert in the series on 28th July will introduce the young Irish violinist, Siobhán Doyle to Wexford audiences. She will be accompanied by Deborah Gibson Veale, piano. Siobhán is currently a student of Gillian Williams who has played in Wexford a number of times. The programme will include short works by Bach, Franck, Massenet, John Williams and William Kroll.

All of the concerts will be held in St. Iberius Church, Main Street Wexford at 1.05pm. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Prices: €10, €7 (concessions) and €5 (students).
