Ann Duggan is a contemporary textile artist and fashion designer based in Wexford. Her passion for hand work in designing a garment, naturally led to creating textile pieces, incorporating classic hand techniques but looking to create something contemporary. Ann worked and collaborated on the Ros Tapestry from 2006-2010, on exhibition in New Ross, Co. Wexford. Her work has also been exhibited with fellow Wexford artists, in The Pigyard Gallery in 2010 & 2011. In 2011 Ann was chosen as a finalist in the National RDS Craft Exhibition 2011, winning 2ND prize in Multi-Media Textile Category. In November 2011, Ann’s work was selected for inclusion in the Crafts Council of Irelands, ‘Seascapes’ Exhibition that will be displayed at the annual Knitting & Stitching Show held in the RDS Dublin. This piece, Music for Wexford, on muslin and Wexford linen was made specifically for the cover of our 2012 programme.
